Dr Kenneth Crowther

<p class="rteBlock">Dr Kenneth Crowther has been an educator for over fifteen years. In the P-12 sector his roles have included Head of English, Director of Teaching and Learning, and Head of Secondary. He has also taught Philosophy, Literature, and Theatre in the tertiary sector. He holds a Bachelor of Education and Arts, a Master of Arts: Creative Writing, a Master of Arts: Research, and has a PhD from the UniSQ specialising in early modern literary history. He and his wife Katelyn have been married for 13 years and are the parents of five young children.</p>

The vision for St John Henry Newman started with a group of Catholic families from Brisbane, and has since become a board of directors and founding staff members. From engineers and teachers to publishers and obstetricians, our Board of Directors and Staff represent a varied group of parents and professionals, united by a common faith and a shared passion for classical education. The following directors form the governing body of St John Henry Newman College.

Dr Gabriel James

<p class="rteBlock">Dr Gabriel James (FRANZCOG, MBBS, MSc, BSc) is an obstetrician gynaecologist at</p><p class="rteBlock">Mater Hospital South Brisbane, and is president of the board of directors of the Australian Institute of Reproductive and Restorative Medicine. Gabe and his wife, General Practitioner Dr Jovina James (FRACGP, MBBS, B Lib Studies, DCH) look forward to SJHNC providing the opportunity to educate their four children in the ideas and ways to live that have formed the basis for successful individuals and societies for generations.</p>

<p class="rteBlock">Ms McNally is a former corporate lawyer with extensive governance, risk management and board experience including in the faith-based and not for profit sector. She currently serves on various boards and committees including the Archdiocesan Development Fund, Mercy Community Services, Cherish Life, Sugar Research Australia, Isa Rodeo and the Queensland Energy and Water Ombudsman’s Advisory Council.</p>

Mr Edmond O’Donovan

<p class="rteBlock">Mr Edmond O’Donovan is a Brisbane based Mechanical Engineer and together</p><p class="rteBlock">with his wife Ann of 38 years, a proud parent of 6 children. He has been on the Board</p><p class="rteBlock">of Campion College for over fifteen years and was recently involved in the</p><p class="rteBlock">restoration of Holy Spirit Church in New Farm and the Old Cathedral in Goulburn.</p>

<p class="rteBlock">Mr James Power is a small businessman and was a founding Director of</p><p class="rteBlock">Campion College, a Catholic tertiary liberal arts College in Sydney. His two decades</p><p class="rteBlock">of involvement with Campion led him to recognise the growing and unmet demand</p><p class="rteBlock">from parents for this form of education in Primary and Secondary Schools. James</p><p class="rteBlock">and his wife Jenny have been married for 22 years and have 3 children.</p>

Mr Stephen Rodgers

<p class="rteBlock">Stephen Rodgers is a solicitor with over 30 years’ experience and holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Queensland University of Technology and a Certificate in Governance Practice from the Governance Institute of Australia. After practising law with several firms in Brisbane over a 12-year period he then operated his own commercial and property law practice for 7 years after which he joined the team at the ASX Listed Sunshine Gas Limited, where he was the in-house Legal and Commercial Counsel. He has been the Company Secretary for a number of ASX Listed entities and remains in that role with Comet Ridge Limited and Blue Energy Limited. Stephen is also an active member of the Holy Spirit New Farm Parish where he is the Chair of the Finance Council.</p>

Mr Rajiv Saha

<p class="rteBlock">Mr Rajiv Saha has been a Director of S &amp; S Consultancy for the last 14 years, which specialises in project management services for large resource infrastructure projects. He has been an active volunteer for his Parish over an extended period. Rajiv holds a Bachelor of Information Systems from the University of Tasmania, and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Southern Queensland. Rajiv and his wife Kate have been married for 17 years and have 7 young children.</p>

With 19 years of teaching experience, Luke is passionate about sharing the Gospel and believes that a strong Catholic education based on goodness, truth and beauty, is foundational to the flourishing of both individuals and society. He is committed to nurturing faith-filled learning environments where students are inspired to grow in wisdom and virtue. Luke is activity involved in the life of the Church. He and his wife Sarah have been married for over 10 years and have 4 young children.</p>

Rev. Dr Adam Walk

<p class="rteBlock">Rev Dr Adam Walk is a Roman Catholic deacon and chairman at Campion College, a tertiary liberal arts college based in western Sydney. A financial economist and former academic, Adam practises as an investment consultant and professional company director. While not blessed with children, Adam and his wife Megan believe that St John Henry Newman College is the sort of education that should be available to families in the greater Brisbane area.</p>
